How the site works.

An asking price is not a sale.

Live bids are not completed transactions. An ordered auction result does not prove payment or delivery. A numeric bid ceiling appears only when current evidence clears the exact-configuration rules.

Listing groups describe seller wording, not authenticated factory identity, condition or originality. A group label does not establish a price premium. Photographs, documents and inspection still matter.

Members can propose changes.

Members can propose watches, support research, offer corrections, and share personal experience. No vote automatically changes the Library, edits historical fact, or establishes a market price.

Private requests stay private.

Personal budgets, watch requests, and correspondence do not enter another member’s file. Shared notes require editorial review, and private language does not appear in the House Docket.

History needs sources.

First-person recollections stay separate from documented reference history. A member contribution cannot invent provenance, a previous owner, a manufacturer claim, or a completed sale.

Recommendations are not guaranteed.

Some weeks will produce no recommendation. Paying for membership does not change the evidence checks a listing must pass.
