The 116610LV is the all-green version of Rolex's 2010 Submariner Date. It retains the familiar diver's layout—large luminous markers, a rotating timing bezel and a magnified date—but gives both the dial and bezel a green surface. Its predecessor, the anniversary 16610LV, had kept a black dial.

The change coincided with a substantial redesign of the steel Submariner. The stated diameter remained 40 millimeters, but the case gained broader lugs and larger shoulders around the winding crown. Seen from the front, there is more metal around the same basic dial arrangement. The Hulk nickname describes both the color and that enlarged outline.

The two green parts are made differently. The bezel insert is glossy ceramic, with its scale cut into the material. The dial has a sunray finish, a pattern of fine lines spreading out from its center. Their colors do not have to look identical for the watch to work. The contrast between a relatively even ring and a more reflective dial gives the face some variation within its unusually strong color scheme.

Inside is the automatic calibre 3135, also used in the preceding Submariner Date generation. The bracelet brought a more immediately useful change: the Glidelock clasp lets its length be adjusted in small increments without removing links.

Rolex returned to a black dial on the green-bezel successor in 2020. That leaves the 116610LV as a specific combination, not a general name for green Submariners: green ceramic, green dial and the broad case of the first steel ceramic generation.
